Back in the winter months, I declared February "Finish it February" and spent the month completing most of my UFOs. I thought of a catchy title for September, but now 7 months later, I once again have a stack of UFOs that need to be finished! Two are bed size quilts, one is a large lap quilt with a wool batting and the fourth a lap sized quilt. Even with the air conditioner on in the sewing room, those larger quilts and the quilt with the wool batt weren't quilting projects I wanted to tackle during the summer!
Who else has a stack like this?
Also on the agenda is making another African Village Quilt. This time I'm going to primarily use African Wax fabrics and the Diamond variation of the pattern. I'm looking forward to seeing it come together.
I'm wearing my Dog Training Apron all day long most days. It doesn't take long for it to start looking grubby from contact with the dogs and from stashing their treats in one of the side pockets. I need another one! I found this great Cotton + Steel fabric at JP Knit & Stitch last week. The colors are great and it tickles my funny bone to put cats (tigers by fabric name, but they look more cat than tiger to me) on my dog apron!
And I have a great idea for a quilt based on this photo. This beautiful snowball hydrangea is in my neighbor's yard but it leans over our shared fence and graces my yard too. Here are the fabrics I have collected to make that quilt.
This list will definitely keep me busy through September...and probably well into the Fall!
